Description
The Cuirass Gown is the complete black satin assembly, the boned corset paired with the architectural ball skirt. Severe, structural, all black. The most unornamented expression of the armor vocabulary in the capsule.
This is the foundation look. No softening, no gilding, no overlay. The Cuirass holds the body in fully boned black satin with a peaked boddice. The Cuirass Skirt extends the silhouette into a full architectural sweep. Worn together, they read as a single ceremonial garment.
The Cuirass Gown is the base for the Obsidian Gown when layered with the Obsidian overlay and detachable sleeves. Sold here as the complete two-piece look at a single price.
Detachable sleeves including the Obsidian Sleeves (black organza) or Pyre Sleeves (sheer pleated) are included at no additional cost upon request. Please specify on your intake form.
Made to order. Please allow 4 to 6 weeks for construction.
Care
Each piece is hand-constructed and intended to be kept. Treat it accordingly. Spot clean when possible. Dry clean for full cleaning, with attention to construction details, boning, and embellishment. Store on a padded hanger or laid flat between wears. Specific care notes for your piece are included with delivery.
